- Show Me The Money 4 and Unpretty Rapster 2. They have done a few Show Me The Money performances over the years (though I tried not to include too many). This year there was no chance of it happening since the season hasn't ended yet. - Certainly looked like Mina. - I don't think Treudy has been particularly active since her Unpretty Rapstar season. - Basick, the last one, has an interesting story. Prior to SMTM4 he was a member of Jiggy Fellaz (a rap crew that also included Vasco who you saw last time and Elly aka EXID's LE). Since there wasn't really money in Korean rap at the time, he left that behind to get a normal job so he could provide for his wife and child. Then after Vasco did well on SMTM3 he decided to give it another go. One of the songs he did on SMTM4 was Stand Up, which featured Mamamoo. - I can understand CL and 2ne1 being polarizing. - When the performances for this MAMA were announced, CL was the only one announced out of 2ne1. It had been more than a year since all 4 members performed together and was a big shock to see them together. A couple of months later Minzy would leave the company and the next time they would perform together was Coachella this year. - Dara was the first one to come up, Minzy was the second, then Park Bom, and finally CL. - Fire and I Am The Best are probably in my top 3 of 2NE1 songs. - One interesting thing about the MAMA performances from 2015 is that all the YG performances got uploaded to the artists' official Youtube channels as well. - Early 2016 was when I was starting to get into K-Pop and Psy was obviously one of the ones I already knew so I watched this performance a few times. - No beef between them, but she did leave his company. Hyuna left not to long after. I think it was more his company wasn't providing them with what they wanted musically. - 2012 for Gangnam style. - Napal Baji was a B-side (though it did get a MV). The song literally translates into trumpet pants. It is about bell bottoms. It is one of my favorites from Psy. - He had a similar performance for KBS. Slightly different order in songs, and a more basic entrance, but the lighted dance performance (which was to Napal Baji) was a bit more epic and included props like various wind entrances. - Yeah, that is the MV. He plays the child, the father, and the grandfather in the MV. It also includes CL who was the feature for the song. - 4.6 billion now. - That is actor Chow Yun-fat - I would assume the BewhY song that you got recommended was Gottasadae - This is another Show Me The Money performance. The songs he performed here were all songs he did on SMTM5. - Smooth yet fast I think is a fair way to describe BewhY. His style is fairly unique compared to most Korean rappers. - This is another composer + rapper team-up like the one from this year. - Yeah, they are a dance studio. - I don't know if you have picked it up over the performances, but the singers in the crowd shots are the ones who did performances on those given year (at least for the most part) so they get the best spots. - Glad you are enjoying it. - Rappers are a bit hardest for me to get a good grasp on what you guys will like or not. I knew you liked Yezi (and hey, no you are using her for your intro music) and Bewhy is just cool. As far as SMTM, if you want to watch the show, I guess the latest season might be a good place to start at this point because starting toward the beginning is a long journey (I still actually have 2 seasons left to watch). I am however quite partial to seasons 3, 4, and 5.

I think it's cool for the two shows to collab like that. I think the list you put together is a good balance of genres and artists. I think no matter what ill probably end up going back through a couple of times watching the performances, but I like the idea of grouping them together by year to some degree like this. - I feel like I could spot a blurry Mina in the wild lol - I really like all the rappers from that performance, I want to look around and see if treudy did anything else I might like even if not still active, same with basick I really liked him too. his backstory sounds crazy, but it goes to show that it's real life, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, and things don't always turn out like the movies lol. I hope EXID keeps doing music together and their last comeback isn't just a one-off. - at least with 2ne1 I can see why they were so popular even if not everything will be for me, I feel the same way about CL, I watched her dingo performance and didn't really like it, but at the same time, she has a couple of songs I love. so with her, I just try to be open-minded and keep up with her music, some are not for me, and some are great and add to my life... I'm cool with that balance - I think it's cool to let the artists also post on their channel, it's really a no-downside thing, with the way youtube and copyright claims work it doesn't matter where it's uploaded or what channel it's on, you can still choose who all the money goes to. so all it really does is help the artist keep a portfolio and makes it easier for fans to find the videos and watch them, so even if the artist doesn't get the money they at least get the portfolio and content to flesh out a channel - I like Psy, but only in small doses. I'm glad to hear there is no beef between him and Jessi, I can't believe its been over 10 years already since Gangnam style... sooo many views lol - I thought he looked familiar, I'm glad he was able to let loose a lil bit, he really looked like he wanted to be on stage - Bewhy I was thoroughly impressed with, I will be checking out more from him as soon as I get a chance. With rap for me and also Chris its weird because there are things I don't normally like but if done right I'm ok with... about the two main things I know I don't care for are too much vocal effect or mumble rap.. but also when it comes to listening in a foreign language it's usually better when its more flow based and not story based if that makes sense. - I figured they put the ppl performing up close, it only makes sense, not only will they be in and out but also if they are performing that means they are currently relevant so they would want the screen time to promote

When I saw the Younha + (G)I-DLE collab, I figured I should give you the heads up.

yes, those stood out the most at first glance, but there are a lot of performances that look like they could be awesome.. i think its cool that someone put together a concise list like that
