And it starts! You're in for a wild ride with Scarlet Heart. Glad you enjoyed the 1st ep. Looks like this drama will be very interesting for you both. Since you mentioned on your reply to my previous comment that you're not that familiar with korean history, here are few things I can share from this ep: - What period/year is usually defined by which dynasty it is and who's the reigning king. This one started with the founder of Goryeo (dynasty), King Taejo. Should be around 940. - What scientist/astrologer Ji Mong proclaimed about Crown Prince and his bright star is not just a comparison. Back in the day, they seriously depend on astrological readings and natural phenomenon in making most important decisions. Like a literal "stars align". Who will be the next king can be based on whose star shines the brightest when they were born. - Be ready to be introduced to more characters, that's just how k-historical dramas are. And it's ok if you can't remember their names, but notice their positions. Those who may seem as side characters aren't really just 'side' characters. - Good guy/bad guy detection may not really work with this drama... But I'm actually so curious if you'll be rooting for specific character/s.

Hell yeah, thank you for the info. I think it will be fun trying to figure out who is important and who isn't.. I'm not great with names even when American names so figuring out roles will for sure be easier. I look forward to seeing how the story plays out, and I'm also curious to who I'll root for too lol
