While Solji isn't that well known by newish kpop fans, she well known as a top vocalist to the general public there. More so 5-6 years ago when she was killing it on tons of music competitions. She is the first winner of King of Masked Singer for their pilot episode, she also came back to win it again. She had some wins on Duet Song Festival as well IIRC. Wheein and Solar were also on tons of these shows, Duet Song Festival included. The Jay Park episode was a Michael Bolton special, the same episode features Sohyang's famous performance of Lean on Me. While she's not a kpop artist, she's known as possibley Korea's greatest singer. To add to Darlove and your response - IOI, IZ*ONE, Kep1er were/are all temporary project groups from the start, that's just how the Produce series operates. IOI was like a super group that could challenge even Twice at the time. Their hit Very Very Very was written by JYP and would probably have been a Twice song otherwise, they were of course very close to Twice at the time. When they disbanded, the members went on to varying levels of success, but the groups they joined never seemed to work out, like Pristin, Weki Meki, Gugudan. It's interesting to see the IZ*ONE members killing it with IVE, Leserrafim and their solo projects being hits.

Post IZ*ONE vs IOI success levels is I think largely due to the amount of time they got to promote together. It is a shame the post I.O.I groups didn't do as well because they were certainly a talented bunch.

-Ya IDK what it was with Weki Meki, I was a huge fan of Yoojung and loved a lot of their songs, I just never got into them. Somi and Chungha are from IOI yes. It's just the groups that never went anywhere. Sejeong is also from there, she had a few solos, with one win (starring Dreamcatcher cheering her on). She's a big time drama actress now, she got very popular through variety shows too. -Sohyang Lean on Me is pretty good but her "I have Nothing" and "Arirang Alone" are more iconic IMHO.

Weki Meki hasnt disbanned have they? Its been a while since i remember them putting anything out... after i looked her up, i now remember Sejeong from produce 101, she was the one who helped everyone - ill for sure check out those suggestions, i dont think i know Ararang Alone, but I would love to hear her version of I have Nothing... thats not an easy song to cover and do it any justice
