More than a third of Americans earning at least $250,000 annually say they are living paycheck to paycheck, according to a report by Bloomberg.

This statistic highlights the issue of income inequality and the cost of living in the United States. Despite earning a significant amount of money, many individuals are struggling to make ends meet due to high expenses and the rising cost of living.

This can include expenses such as housing, healthcare, and education. The report also suggests that the COVID-19 pandemic may have exacerbated this issue, as many people have lost their jobs or had their incomes reduced or had some other set back that smashed financial plans.

Judging by comments y'all been trained to be slaves. Brainwashed to attack each other and leave the rich and politicians to continue stealing the wealth of the middle class. "The stats lie because I'm a good little slave and can live off 60k" Good for you, some of us see CEO's doubling their salary and raising prices and not raising employees salary to match inflation. Sad y'all Wana blame middle class that's slowly dying. Wake up

And what is it that you do? People go to where they can find a job, that way they can support themselves and their family. It is fair that people that make less than $100k/yr would be appalled at the fact that there are people making $250k/yr living paycheck to paycheck because that simply doesn't make sense, unless you are over spending. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US and make about $95k and am not living paycheck to paycheck now, but definitely was when I was making $60-70k. I also split living expenses with my wife, but neither of us could stop working for more than 4-6 months without being evicted. So, if you have somehow found a way out of the system, that doesn't involve being independently wealthy and or being given more than $500 by a relative, please do share.

Depends where you live and if you own a house. Near most desirable metro areas a starter house will cost you 450k and up and rent will be 2600 for a 3 bed home. That's tough for a young family.

This to me is funny… because I live in a pretty expensive city and make $60,000 / yr. But I’m happy with what I have… and also happy with what I don’t have.

If you earn $250k and live paycheck to paycheck, you should not blame the economy but take responsibility for living well above your means.

What kind of mouth breather has to live paycheck to paycheck making 250k? This puts in perspective how clueless many people are with managing and saving their money. Scary .

It’s both irresponsibility and relative. If they’re dumb enough to get raped in taxes at 40-50%+ then it’s half what you’re looking at. Further if they live anywhere important on the east or west coast $125k is fine but not as great as you might think.

The people borrowing on lending club are not exactly who we should be looking towards for consumer financial conditions
