Summary of InvestAnswer's Posts (thanks, Josh, for collecting)
Date: August 3 2024 - 5 August 2024
Tesla:
Selling Tesla:
IA will never sell Tesla. While Elon Musk is there, IA will remain invested.
Elon Musk:
Musk is not only the smartest man alive today, but the best capital allocator on Earth. That is why IA is trying to stack Tesla before October 10th. Guarantee it'll pop after 10 October
Tesla’s Future:
There are few things in this world IA is certain of, but he is certain of the future of Tesla like he is with BTC and that is saying something. IA encourages us to be patient - Tesla will pop either end of this year or next year. Possible in 2026.
SOL:
SOL/ETH:
While ETH fell 20%, SOL was only down 10%.
SOLPERP:
Level 3 for SOL is at $130, and IA is eyeing a big perp trade at that level. Late 8/4, IA added more collateral to his SOL Perp and reduced his liquidation price to $80. He also by accident got a fill on another layer that added to his existing one. NOTE HE EXITED IT TODAY at 50% profit)
PYTH:
IA will reload PYTH at 20 cents. We may not reach that level.
BTC:
Selling BTC:
IA was tempted to dump some BTC at 55k, but the risk is no war and it shoots back to 60k. Down at 50k, it is too late to sell BTC in IA’s opinion. It will rebound fast. It is like a beach ball underwater in a pool. You can't keep it down for long.
Mr. 100:
People still call Mr. 100 a CEX Cold Wallet, but IA knows DCA action and cold wallets - this is a stacker and IA is 96% sure.
Trading and Investing:
Summer Seasonality:
Summers suck, and this is normal. This is not the time to sell crypto when it is weak and pivot it to Tesla. You sell when crypto is strong.
NVDA:
IA would not buy NVDA; he is still currently short. He would consider buying perhaps $60 to $80.
Covered Call Strategy:
IA outlines his strategy to generate 20-30% returns per month in the 1990s. This was shared with the community here.
$184 Tesla:
Due to Schwab’s outage, IA was not able to buy more TSLA at $184. He was very upset.
TSLA/MSTR:
ATR suggests it is a good time to swap TSLA for MSTR at 6.5/1 TSLA/MSTR.
10-Year Note Yield:
The 10-Year Note Yield just posted its largest weekly drop since the 2008 Financial Crisis, falling 40 basis points last week. Furthermore, the average interest rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage fell 22 basis points on Friday ALONE. At the same time, TLT, a popular bond-tracking ETF rose by 6%, the most since January 2023. TLT is now up 2% year-to-date after being down more than 10% just four months ago. For the first time since 2020, bond markets are trading like we are going into a recession.
Professor Siegel:
One of IA’s previous professors calls for an emergency .75% cut, and another .75% cut in September.
