Inflation has fallen below 3% for the first time since March 2021!

Core inflation has also decreased to 3.2%, marking the lowest level since April 2021.

Could it be that the fight against inflation is finally over? Not sure as JP is looking for his magical 2%. To get to 2% with this level of Govt spending means they need to torch the economy.

Stagflation would be here if it was not for $7 of Govt Spending.

The more I learn about Fiscal dominance vs Monetary. Fed does not matter much at all. Yields are falling in a bull steepening for bonds. Fed will slowly cut rates if at all unless they see an "Uh Oh" movement like Japan. Yellen is really in the drivers seat. She can sell her treasuries as long as the threat of a market collapse is hovering. Banks, Pensions and such will want their "safe" US treasuries. Yellen can also create liquidity by drawing down the Reverse Repo and spending the General account down before National debt debate starts in congress. The minute Yellen can't sell bonds is when the Fed really reverses their stance and then becomes the "buyer of last resort". All of it is liquidity positive with a lag.

Since the government and our financial institutions have started to participate in cryptocurrency and bitcoin, bitcoin has not been performing as it should be. Government and our financial institutions have contaminated crypto sphere. I don’t ever see it performing as it has in the past. Everything I’ve got touches turns to shit.
