Can't repeat that too often! Never give any info or data to anyone unsollicited

I don’t understand what happened here? Can someone explain? Is there a long thread somewhere I don’t see? This 3 reply snippet tells me very little.

Nothing happened. A scammer tried to ask for crypto pretending he's James. He gave away one of his addresses - not sure which network. Doesn't mean anything really. Just be careful out there

Note scammer initially ask him click something (which likely asks wallet signing which then drains wallet) But he counter scam the scammer to ask him for the address (Bitcoin in this case) Some scams work by you sending them tokens which they reward with returns. Sometimes even initially pay you so you invest even more (& tell your friends)

I got scammed recently...was busy trying to do to much and wasn't paying attention. Nothing is to urgent that you can't take the time to make sure the next click isn't going to drain you.

First giveaway- ‘sertrid’ is not a word. Second giveaway- his grammar is very .’sertrid’

That’s an easy one, I’ve seen them a lot more sophisticated, wish they all where so stupid and obviously not have English as the first language, I would have a lot more money now :)

Also all those scammer assholes make u afraid of holding tokens in private wallets, every inter action could be your last and I just hate tens of wallets and addresses

Boughed a cheap laptop 450€. Only use that laptop when trading, checking portfolio/platforms and use it for nothing else. Got a nice game pc that i use for everything else. I don't trust governments or anyone online. Any DM's from someone i don't know on say telegram, WhatsApp etc. is deleted and blocked.

I have a very good friend who always texts me (on an alternate comm) after I send him any kind of link. He would verify if it was me sending the link. After a few experiences with him doing this, the lesson sunk in. I now do the same.

I’ve been scammed. Was multitasking. Busy with other pressing work. Scam was (relatively) believable. In the end tho, after even a little thought put into the scam … an unbelievably stupid move on my part. Embarrassingly so. A double whammy: I was victimized and I’m an idiot. The “Live & Learn”moments in life can be brutal. C’est la vie
