Just a quick note it looks like micro strategy is probably selling shares in order to buy more bitcoin. This is part of their ATM.

MicroStrategy Secures $875M for Bitcoin Purchases and Debt Redemption

I’m thinking that MSTR selling shares to buy Bitcoin will be good for share price in the long run though will depress value for shareholders in the short term. If that is the case then I guess the question is how often will this tactic be employed and how will that timeline of depressing the share price align with my timeline as a shareholder. At some point this strategy could negate the advantage of holding MSTR over BTC.

Ok MSTR, time to stop now, you've done enough...

Tradingzeros

it's always going to be a positive if btc continues to go up. why would a company care about shareholders in the short term.

RadRich

Excited to see a sale .

So if the fed cuts rates by 0.50 then this will strengthen the yen, which means that a lot of people will dump the shares they bought with borrowed yen in the rush to pay back what they owe. At least that's what I understand about this.

Monty

Yes James, please do a deep dive on MSTR tomorrow. Thank you

Borrow inflating currency to buy a deflating asset. Smart.

The Fed, plus all other central banks, cutting will give relief to the yen not hurt it. Which is exactly why the BOJ very slightly raised rates and “threatened” to keep raising …. Because The Fed held rates to high for to long and it caused the Yen to get hammered by the Dollar. This will let Japan know they do not need to keep raising rates and slow the unwinding of the Yen carry trade. Now if BOJ gets hyper aggressive and raises rates anyway… that might cause people to sell assets and ditch the Yen. But China is now printing money and Global Liquidity is rising… everything looks bullish for 2025, imho.

Yes James, MSTR. Got rid of Fin advisors and and their rubbish stock and recommendations. Transitioned to BTC, TESLA, SOL since joining the channel. Haven't bought MSTR, as yet.

Hey James, I don't yet own any MSTR but have decent bags of BTC (22%), SOL (22%), TSLA (33%), RNDR (14%) and a small bag of CLSK (1%) as well as some SOL alts. I've just come into a decent bag of $ and am thinking to allocate it all to MSTR (would then have a 9% allocation in my portfolio). I know you recently said that BTC should be around 75% of your portfolio, does investing in MSTR sound advisable here. Would you recommend DCAS/DCA or look for a pull back and commit a larger sum?
