I did a little DCAS into Tesla adding straight equity - it is less than half of one percent added to my position. Entry at $244.

Tesla delivered 462,890 vehicles in Q3, beating Wall St expectations of ~462k. Total Q3 production was 469,796, While it beat the whisper number was higher. I saw it as a good dip oppty nonetheless.

At the end of the day I'm not in Tesla for delivery numbers. For me it's an AUTONOMY play - yesterday I drove the new FSD 12.5.5 in the cyber truck and it was absolutely freaking mind blowing. I think we are here everybody.

Tesla also announced they deployed 6.9GWh of energy storage in the quarter, up 73% YoY.

Solar Power

I drove FSD CT yesterday for 2 hours. Yes, Amazing, but still work to debug. I disengaged a few times. Once to not run over a strap on the road with metal hooks, twice to get out of a turn-only-lane that was going to take me out of the path I needed, once to accelerate past a semitruck that the CT decided to try to pass with only 0.5 miles to my exit (and I was not going to make unless I put the hammer down ... If I were driving, I'd have just stayed behind the 70 mph truck and wait my turn). An once to accelerate like a mad man to get the hell out of the on-coming traffic that the CT decided to do an unprotected left turn RIGHT as the light turned Green FOR THEM ... FSD must have thought it was okay, as I had momentum and the light had just turned off of green arrow for me -- but still green for straight ahead. I should have hit the brake to turn it off -- but instead pissed everyone off and just hit the throttle to zoom through. Not ideal -- and a reminder to be careful driving the FSD while in development.

Driving from OH to Del are today in a 2024 MY. It disabled in heavy fog, failed to read construction zone speed limits, and one phantom break. We still have a ways to go. On the plus side, I fell asleep twice and the normal warning to keep eyes on the road snapped me awake.
