I am getting a lot of questions regarding the HBO documentary about who is Satoshi and a lot of people are worried it could impact bitcoin. I don't think it will, and after a little bit of digging this is what I came up with.

HBO may expose why Len Sassaman could potentially be Satoshi Nakamoto: Len Sassaman was a cryptographer and privacy advocate with expertise highly relevant to Bitcoin's creation:

  • He worked on privacy tools like Mixmaster, an email anonymizer, demonstrating his commitment to online privacy and anonymity.

  • Sassaman had deep knowledge of cryptography and decentralized systems, skills necessary for designing Bitcoin.

  • He was closely connected to early Bitcoin figures like Hal Finney, who received the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi.

  • Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared in 2011, and Sassaman died just months later, fueling speculation about a connection.

  • A tribute to Sassaman was embedded in the Bitcoin blockchain shortly after his death.

  • His wife's initial denial of him being Satoshi was later qualified, leaving room for doubt.

  • Sassaman's expertise, timing of events, and connections to the early Bitcoin community align closely with Satoshi's profile.

While not conclusive, these factors have led some to speculate that Sassaman could have been the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. The upcoming HBO documentary may provide more evidence to support or refute this theory.

This is Len

Hi James You never it could lead to broader exposure and greater adoption 🫰

Why bring this out now ? , lead us into a false sense of security . I’ve always felt bothered about Blackrocks involvement. They own everything.. Sure I’d love to believe Len was Satoshi and took his seed phrase to the grave .. i’m an optimist, but I have a healthy little sprinkle of paranoia.. guess we’ll see what the future holds

Whoever he is. I like him and thank him a million times! $$

I've been convinced it was Sassaman for years.I think he worked with Finney. I think Len was the brains and Hal was the programmer. Here is a question that no one has responded to, do with think the FBI/CIA has known who Satoshi was/is since the beginning?

Anyone knows why Steve Jobs (his wealth) is not the World richest person now? Did his wife sell his shares after he died?

Honestly, I’d rather not know.! If I had to guess, I’d say it’s likely a combination of Elon, Vitalik (would’ve been 15-16’ish I believe) and possibly a few others. Why not? The fact that the keys 🔑 could have been discretely handled off to a charity, through a trustee who would ensure a proper liquidation period, seems odd. Why leave all of that money frozen indefinitely? 🤷‍♂️

Great information, thank you

The most compelling evidence is hardly mentioned: In the BTC white paper there’s a reference to a document that doesn’t exist in digital form and was hand out at a conference in paper in Belgium to 60 people in person. At that time Len Sassaman was living in Belgium doing his phd. The person who made this paper document was non other than the professor at the university where Len was doing his phd. Meaning that either Satoshi Nakamoto was in Belgium at that time in the conference or he got his hands on this document that only exists in paper form with 60 people in Belgium.

I have been looking at Sassaman's tweets. He seems to have an American rather than British style, although he does refer to Dr Who and the Guardian. Here is one tweet about Bitcoin "This big Bitcoin heist shows Bitcoin suffers from the worst of both worlds: no strong anonymity, yet no fraud reversal protection."
