Hey James I am in the UK and we have got a budget by the Labour government headed Dictator Starmer, so we are looking at liquidating our crypto positions and using spreadbetting as a tool instead. Current capital gains on crypto is 20%...it is anticipated that they will add capital gains to income taking our rate upto 45%. Tax on betting however is 0% and is not expected to change. I am amazed to see upon investigation that crypto spreadbets are limited, you have to qualify as professional and the overnight lending rate is 10 TIMES more expensive than derivatives on DRIFT and the spreads are 4 TIMES more expensive. You dont know what you have till they take it away. I can stack up the pro status on portfolio size and experience but those costs are brutal....Any ideas ?

Hmmm…told my wife that I have been making ‘easy weekend money’ on Perps lately…her response? ‘Now you are just gambling.’ I disagreed…but to someone who doesn’t know anything about markets and timing, it might look like randomness; ie gambling…what do others think?

James, any thoughts on this article…basically that the current MSTR premium exceeds the peak of last cycle + ETF options limiting demand?

My preset MSTR sells kicked in at $250/share in my tax-advantaged accounts. I was immediately tempted to buy it back, but set up several buys around $225 on the presumption we will get a pull back heading into the election. If not, guess I’ll buy back in at a higher price in ~ 10 days.
