WARNING>>> THIS IS IMP

We took a wicked dip down, and Jupiter or Phantom seemed congested. I wanted just to add a little collateral to my position and up the leverage a touch. I hit the buy button at $213. PS SOL was 219.51 a few mins earlier

Nothing happened - it said Trade Timed Out.

I hit the buy button again.

Nothing happened

I hit the buy button again.

Nothing happened. I checked trade history and all 3 filled.

I had only planned on adding 1/3rd to my collateral but at a 5x to juice it up. Now it is more than double and leverage is 4x.

Not my usual and I am over exposed. I hope to exit this one soon. I could clearly see BTC Market Makers were pushing it down to liquidate longs on Binance... and here we are.

I will watch this tonite and I have more collateral to bail it out if I need to.

SOL 240 so well done!

Consider pair trading SUI/SOL? Or sell some Sol on this pump?

Amazing perp!!!

BigJ

I ended up closing this morning at 234, with a 35% gain. I had a tradingview alert set at 220 that I missed, so I got lucky on this one.

I think James was "helping" the pump by buying three times instead of one time. Thanks James 😁

Hey James, I have written some code that trades on the indicators. I used to use confluence, trend and mean revert. I had it running on 15m 30m and 1hr. it wasn't great, win rate was like 60%. I also had it on when we had big moves in the market, like the WAR etc which means it had multiple wrong entries. What are your thoughts on automating some of this? mainly to get the emotions out of the trade? what time frames and indicator do you recommend? I was thinking of swapping to ATR model. anyway, any ideas are welcome! in the meantime, I will just trade manually for now.

CryptoFarmer

Man, totally misread this post- pulled my SOL perp right before it blasted off 😭😭😭

Alex Crypto

Yes, it happened to me several times on Jupiter. Always refresh the page even if you get a timeout error then go to the trade history to verify if the trade had actually gone through.

I have not found STR to be good for SOL perps. It's in and out of the trade every few minutes. Maybe wrong settings? Confusing anyway!

@InvestAnswers James, I just want you to know, I was watching the order books around this time (and most of the day) and it was very thin, fake buy walls, and the usual manipulation. Your multiple large (accidental) buys signaled the market to finally pump.
