Short answer - Stocks!

New answer - Stocks and BTC and very select crypto names - Crypto is still early.

Proof it is stocks?

Where millionaires invest their money:

Portfolio Allocation:

The richest 1% of Americans significantly outpace the rest in stock ownership, with the top 1% owning more than half of all U.S. equities. This starkly contrasts with the bottom 50% of households, who only allocate 4% of their wealth to stocks, highlighting the importance of equity investments.

Affluent Retail Investors' Strategies:

Investors with a median balance of $1M tend to have a long-term risk orientation with a portfolio composition of approximately 64% in equities. They show a preference for U.S. markets, retain some exposure to actively managed funds despite their criticism, and value diversification, with only a small portion of their portfolio (5%) dedicated to individual securities. This stunned me.

Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNW) Allocation:

UHNWs with assets over $30 million have a notably different approach, with only 30% in equities but have alternative investments (46%), which includes private equity and hedge funds.

I am significantly richer in past year thanks to you James. Investing in right things and up so much it's head spinning sometimes. Thank you

My guess is the tax burden has been placed on the middle and lower class.

In Jame's recent OCTA, there was a slide from Geiger Capital that stated that in the US, the top 1% of income-tax filers pay 40.4% of US revenue, top 10% pay 72% of total tax burden while 45% of households pay ZERO...So "the rich aren't just paying their share...they are paying everything". I found this an interesting slide!

I too am interested in the Black Friday promo. Wasn't aware till now. Please advise on this or future "sales"?

To me neither is allocating properly. Although I do realize the UHNW are more about preservation than accumulation.

The Treasurer

The ultra high net worth players have equities and alternative investments so they don’t actually “spend” their money, they look to live off the profits and reinvest the rest so compounding can work its magic… which is also easier to do if you get handed a trust and/or have high earnings to have a large chunk automatically get invested into equities monthly
