Bitcoin hash rate keeps hiting new all time highs and price has at last caught up

Pretty definitive proof that price ultimately follows the hash.

Let's see miner hardware is depreciating at 40-50% a year, hash rate is growing higher, power costs are going up for most.... getting into mining doesn't seem like a retail game...

Maytals

How is that going to influence Bitcoin price if hash rate is lower? Could it be slowing growth?

Quantumjumper222

if you can use the heat from asics to heat your home it kinda makes sense, it has reduced my heating bill by 2/3rds net-net (on propane, older home) earn non kyc sats, it's akin to DCAing and it's just plain fun.

legitDZ

How can you tell it's the price following the hash and not the other way around (the hash rising when the price increases)?

MSTR should follow next week

Bill Hennigan aka Henchman on discord, or Bhenchman elsewhere

Hash rate is kind of a competition. Bitcoin’s protocol automatically adjusts the mining difficulty roughly every 2,016 blocks (about every two weeks). If blocks are being mined faster than 10 minutes on average (because hash rate has increased), the difficulty increases to make mining harder. If blocks are being mined slower, the difficulty decreases, making mining easier. This adjustment ensures a consistent supply of new Bitcoin, regardless of how many miners are participating or how much hash power is added.

Double D- what makes u think mstr is due for 'resurrection'? James says, if Saylor prints more mstr shares, mstr will not act strong....

There is a huge sell wall on Sol at 243. Just keeps getting rejected. MM also playing silly games

Respectfully... I believe that hash anticipates price, not the other way around.

Thank you James and team 🙏🤘🙏

or hash goes where the price will be

All things being equal, does this mean miners are profitable while keeping the network more secure.?

RudyForest

I don’t get this. The supply of mined btc is now inconsequential compared to buying pressure. So the price isn’t controlled by mining supply but only by those whales willing to sell.
