3 mins of vigorous physical activity reduces cancer risk (Patreon)

As you know, Cancer is personal to us all. It took my aunt and both my parents. It will touch 40% of us.
This is interesting - recent research shows that short bursts of vigorous physical activity can significantly reduce cancer risk, even for non-exercisers:
A study of 22,398 non-exercising adults found that just 3.4 minutes of vigorous intermittent lifestyle physical activity (VILPA) per day was associated with a 17% reduction in total cancer risk
Increasing VILPA to 4.5 minutes per day was linked to a 32% reduction in overall cancer risk
For physical activity-related cancers (colorectal, pre-menopausal breast, and lung):
3.5 minutes of VILPA daily was associated with a 28-29% risk reduction
4.5 minutes of VILPA daily was linked to a 31-32% risk reduction
The majority (92.3%) of VILPA was performed in increments of up to 1 minute
Activities considered as VILPA include power walking, stair climbing, carrying heavy shopping, vigorous housework, and energetic play with children
This research suggests that even small amounts of vigorous activity throughout the day can have significant benefits for cancer prevention, especially for those who don't engage in structured exercise
