Absolutely sad they wont just call up Elon for a meeting and sign an agreement with him..

Lack of innovation and foresight kills companies. Not the economy.

This sounds to me like they're doubling down

"General Motors said Tuesday it will no longer fund the development of a commercial robotaxi business and will instead absorb its self-driving car subsidiary Cruise and combine it with the automaker’s own efforts to develop driver assistance features — and eventually fully autonomous personal vehicles."

Here's a thought.... we all don't want autonomous vehicles for everything. If you can work, pull a trailer, go off any road, and basically function outside the confines of the paved guardrails, then we can begin to talk. I understand a good chunk of people literally use the vehicle to do nothing but stay on the tracks, but a good portion of us don't.

Most ppl are stuck in traffic or congestion. There will be 0 rush for a great many folks to adopt. I personally like “rowing through the gears” and going sideways through snow. Not a pressing need for me, just an investor for the many that clearly have no interest in the task at hand.

I love my Tesla and want a cyberbeast after the recalls next year Best car ever and used in a snow storm today my fsd in a m3p and it’s small and has winter tires

To think, GM had an EV back in the 90s! They should be lightyears ahead of Tesla with that headstart and all the billions they have. Ridiculous. In my view, their management are negligent and should be fired. Bailouts galore.

How long now til the first partnership with Tesla is announced for licenseing FSD? Whomever is first will have an advantage! ?Ford, Mercedes, Toyota? Recall later two had invested in Tesla at one point

Rob

Can’t see this article well on phone. But thanks for the update.

I do think that in order to reduce crashes to a zero in the future that all different manufacturers should be using the same FSD platform. Tesla is the only way and I think soon other companies will be using not only their FSD, but their Ai in general, as well as chargers. Giving Tesla a constant flow of inbound revenue from direct rivals.
