Someone is heavily investing in $TSLA options, that are very far OOM (out of the money) with nearly $4 million spent on the $840 calls for May 2025. Additionally, this individual or entity has also put over $4 million into the $700 calls for August 2025.

Do they know something we do not?

Well when they are that far OOM, likely it’s an options arbitrage play and not reflective of the buyer actually thinking price will move to those strikes.

I think it's obvious: Mr. Gates is trying to hedge the billions of dollars he's under on his TSLA shorts! Ok, I totally made that up, but it sounds awesome!

I think we could easily hit $700-$800 this summer.

Probably Chris Camillo of Dumb Money-- super-bullish on his Optimus preview and irresponsibly long.

TagEnergy will soon start construction on the largest battery energy storage system project in France, a $117M @Tesla Megapack system (240MW/480MWh).

Now, ThinkOrSwim shows OI is zero for $840 calls May 2025.

Chris Carmelo from dumb money is planning to make a large options bet as soon as he gets a sniff that humanoid robotics is about to have it’s “Chat GPT” moment. He is heavily invested in 2 private humanoid robotics companies as well as Tesla and has focus on nothing but humanoid robots for the last 18 months. He posted this on the 6th Dec 2024 https://x.com/chriscamillo/status/1864698535838388658?s=46

How would a stock split effect options like this

JP

They're automatically calculated. you can think of it either as the option being calculated as if price never changed, or you can think of it as adjusting automatically. Cet par, there's nothing to be gained or lost by a split.
