Texas is an amazing state. It however also ranks #2 in unauthorized immigration population with CA #1. Texas is ranked 2nd for highest state for mass shootings and CA #3 respectively. IL, FL, NY, and CO all rank high in mass shooting and unauthorized immigration. The correlation is evident and important. Unauthorized immigration is definitely 'not doing it right'. Houston and San Antonio make the top of the list for the most dangerous cities in TX. The danger from the Mexican cartel is very real as you get closer to the border. TX remains one of the strongest states in the Union and a great place to live nevertheless. Most do carry a side arm for protection these days but not for possible school, grocery, or movie theater mass shooters like seen in other states. The mass shootings in TX typically involve cartel gang shoot outs in broad daylight. Ever seen the movie 'Sicario'? Not far from reality. Be safe, be true out there.
