By year-end, which will have a higher value - TSLA or MSTR?

The consensus seems to lean towards MSTR being higher.

I agree. PS I don't often agree with the herd.

TSLA will go higher : add this to the list of reasons: Bitcoin as a National Reserve Currency: A Deep Dive Bitcoin has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a fringe digital currency. Today, it's a major player in the financial world, with a market cap exceeding $2 trillion. But could Bitcoin ever become the national reserve currency of the United States? And what would that mean for the global economy? The Likelihood of Bitcoin Becoming the US National Reserve Currency The prospect of Bitcoin replacing the US dollar as the world's reserve currency is a hot topic, with experts and commentators offering a range of opinions. While some see it as a potential threat to the dollar's dominance , others believe it could actually strengthen the dollar's position .   However, most experts agree that the chances of Bitcoin becoming the primary reserve currency in the near future are slim . The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has cautioned against adopting cryptocurrencies as national currencies, citing risks to financial stability, consumer protection, and the environment .   Despite these challenges, there's growing interest in the idea of a "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" for the United States. This concept, championed by figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump, involves the US Treasury holding a significant amount of Bitcoin as a strategic asset . Senator Cynthia Lummis (R‑WY) has even introduced legislation to establish such a reserve . Proponents of this idea argue that holding Bitcoin reserves could provide economic and national security benefits, similar to holding oil or gold reserves. However, others argue that Bitcoin, unlike oil, is not a crucial commodity for the US economy .   While a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve wouldn't necessarily make Bitcoin the national currency, it could signal a significant shift in the US government's stance on cryptocurrencies and potentially pave the way for greater adoption. Global Bitcoin Adoption El Salvador made history in 2021 by becoming the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender . To promote its use, the government implemented the Bitcoin Law, requiring all businesses to accept Bitcoin and offering citizens $30 in free Bitcoin as an incentive to adopt it . However, despite these efforts, a significant portion of the population remains hesitant to use Bitcoin . The Central African Republic followed suit in 2022 . While these countries are relatively small, their actions have sparked debate about the potential for wider Bitcoin adoption.   Several other countries, including the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Nigeria, are exploring the use of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) . While CBDCs are different from Bitcoin, they demonstrate a growing interest in digital currencies among governments.   Analyzing Historical Price Data Bitcoin's price has been on a rollercoaster ride since its inception. To understand the potential impact of future events, it's crucial to analyze its historical price trends. However, it also shows a general upward trend, with Bitcoin reaching new all-time highs in recent years. Historical Bitcoin Price Trends and Adoption Events Analyzing historical trends provides valuable insights into how Bitcoin's price might react to significant adoption events. Bitcoin has historically shown a pattern of surging prices followed by periods of consolidation. Factors like halving events, institutional adoption, and regulatory developments have played a crucial role in these trends .   Halving events: Bitcoin's mining reward is halved roughly every four years, reducing the rate at which new coins enter circulation. This creates scarcity and often leads to price increases .   Institutional adoption: When large institutional investors, such as Tesla or MicroStrategy, invest in Bitcoin, it increases confidence and drives demand .   Regulatory clarity: Positive regulatory developments, such as the approval of a Bitcoin ETF, can also boost the price .   In 2021, Bitcoin adoption reached its peak, with over 41 million BTC addresses holding at least $1 worth of BTC . This surge in adoption coincided with a significant price increase, demonstrating the correlation between adoption and price.   These historical trends suggest that if the US were to adopt Bitcoin as a national reserve currency, it could trigger a massive bull run, potentially surpassing previous all-time highs. Potential Price of Bitcoin as a National Reserve Currency Predicting the price of Bitcoin is notoriously difficult, even under normal circumstances. However, if Bitcoin were to become the US national reserve currency, it's likely that its price would skyrocket. One key factor is scarcity. Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins, and as demand increases, the price will inevitably rise. If the US government were to start holding Bitcoin as a reserve asset, this would create a massive surge in demand. This, combined with the already limited supply, could lead to exponential price growth. Furthermore, increased regulatory clarity and potential crypto-friendly regulations could further fuel this price surge . Some analysts have predicted that Bitcoin could reach $250,000 or even $1 million if it gains wider adoption. However, it's important to note that these are just predictions, and the actual price could be much higher or lower.   Bitcoin Adoption in the US States While no US state has adopted Bitcoin as legal tender, there's a clear trend towards increasing acceptance and integration of cryptocurrencies in various aspects of state economies. Several states have taken steps to regulate and integrate cryptocurrencies, including: Arizona: Arizona has considered legislation to make Bitcoin legal tender and allow state employees to be paid in virtual currency .   California: California passed the Digital Financial Assets Law to regulate digital asset businesses .   Colorado: Colorado has launched an online program to educate agricultural producers about blockchain technology .   Florida: Florida revised its money services business laws to include virtual currency .   Hawaii: Hawaii has been exploring the creation of a digital currency licensing program .   New Hampshire: New Hampshire enacted the Decentralized Autonomous Organization Act to establish a legal framework for DAOs .   Wyoming: Wyoming has been a pioneer in cryptocurrency regulation, taking steps such as granting legal recognition to DAOs and clarifying the legal status of digital assets. These actions have created a favorable environment for crypto businesses.
