MSTR just filed a preliminary notice with the SEC for a shareholder vote On the agenda includes the following

Increase authorized shares of common stock from 330 million to 10.33 billion - a 31.3x increase. Also increase authorized preferred shares from 5 million to 1.005 billion

First of all, never in my life have I seen such a Capital Market game play out - ever!!!

If things remain equal - he can raise far more money than the Bitcoin available to be purchased. This is Game Theory in action. Absolute Scarcity vs Infinite ATM Money!

If he does this, he throws down the gauntlet for others to follow.

Michael Saylor's approach to buying Bitcoin can be broken down into simple ideas

Game Theory of Getting in Early:

  • When you act before others in a game, you gain an advantage.

  • He has nearly 500K so the more he pumps price the better off he is.

More Purchases Higher Price :

  • By buying Bitcoin, Saylor helps drive up the price which makes it even more valuable.

Limited Supply, Rising Prices:

  • Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins. I reckon 5M are lost. Only commodity with finite scarcity. FIAT will go to zero over time.

Will Everyone Want a Piece if he buys a lot?

  • If enough people believe Bitcoin will be valuable, they’ll want to buy it to avoid missing out.

  • Saylor’s big purchases and public support signal confidence, which could lead to more buying and higher prices—a cycle that feeds itself.

I am working on some numbers to try simulate waht this issuance alone would drive. Even 10% of this plan would buy 335BN would drive price to at least $564K

What’s MSTR price if bitcoin gets to $13M like saylor says

Tsuktsuk

Experts here estimate stock price will be 120 USD instead of current 360ish USD. (sarcasm)

We can dream. Would like to see it come true.

John

Would be nice if James gives us a breakdown of the MSTR share price in light of this possible, but absolutely massive dilution.

Clutch

Looking back at this. I have to be honest and say I’m not a huge fan for the strategy I had. I was hoping to rotate some microstrategy to Tesla mid 2025. But I feel like this will lead to short term negative price action with possible dilution. Similar issue with cleanspark End game it will be good tho

Hola and Merry Christmas James & team! Your content has always been excellent and I am grateful to have found you. Many who own MSTR are wondering when our "real" payday may come in? I bought in the $190-$250's price and I wonder if this is a 2 year hold, a 5 or 10 year hold or beyond, before I see significant increases in the price. I am happy with nice increase in price so far, but I anticipated an even greater return and bought heavily. Anything you can provide by way of your excellent forecasting would be helpful. I've seen your chart but I wasn't sure if it took Into consideration the continuing weekly purchases via ATM. I was under the impression that he was going to switch to funding using the converts in 2025. I think this multi billion share augmentation will have a marked influence on continuing his purchases via ATM. You bought exceptionally well, but for those who paid higher prices, it's been a bit of a haul albeit with great hope sometime out in the future. Could you give some clarity on this or direct me to previous work that might help address these concerns.

So is this a stock split? Or are we selling, then rebuying back after the diluation? That's the part I'm confused on even after the video

I had the same question, i think its just massive dilution. Im very close to just selling my tiny bag i bought approx 2 weeks ago.

MagicMiles

CLSK diluted for reason 'X'. MSTR is diluting for reason 'X'. Regardless for the reason, diluting hasnt worked out well according to the data. I know James sounds bullish but he didnt address the massive dulution that will happen vs the gain due to buying Btc. I think the dilution will be way more powerful. Im no expert thou and am trying to find answers too.

Or the world retreats from one man trying to buy all the BTC and BTC, like the 17th century Dutch Tulip Mania, goes bust. My brother's colleague used to work at MSTR and opined that Saylor was a bad leader, prone to erratic decision-making. Hopefully the mad genius is more genius than mad ... (And there is no such thing as an "infinite money glitch"; for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction in this material universe).

Wouldn't the projected ROI (with BTC reaching $564k) off today's price of $95k be 493%, not 1780%?

AyeGirl

I agree looks like Huge Dilution to me. I think THAT many new shares will drop the price & value of MSTR shares
