Here's my theory on how many players around the world might be using MicroStrategy (MSTR) as their primary or only exposure to Bitcoin:

The Central Bank of Norway technically owns Bitcoin, but indirectly through its investment in MicroStrategy. Norway's central bank has notably increased its stake in MicroStrategy, especially following the company's aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy. It dramatically increased its investment in 2024, multiplying its holdings seven times over, which now stands at approximately $514 million, equating to a 0.72% stake in MicroStrategy.

For those who can't buy Bitcoin directly, purchasing MicroStrategy stock has become an alternative route. This approach allows investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without dealing with the complexities of cryptocurrency exchanges, custody, or regulatory uncertainties associated with direct Bitcoin ownership.
