Economic viability is one of the most important factors in the success of new products and applications. No less so for Nosana. We show that the consumer-grade flagship RTX 4090 can provide LLM inference at a staggering 2.5X lower cost compared to the industry-standard enterprise A100 GPU.

NOS Cost Efficiency

By leveraging underutilized consumer GPUs, Nosana delivers AI compute at 2.5x lower costs than centralized providers like AWS2. The network processed 985,000 jobs in 2024, saving users an estimated $4.7 million compared to traditional cloud services25.

Nosana released its LLM benchmarking framework to transparently evaluate hardware across parameters like memory bandwidth and CUDA core utilization, Nodes with higher benchmark scores receive prioritized job allocations, creating a meritocratic system that rewards quality hardware. Real-Time Monitoring: The network uses telemetry data to detect underperforming nodes, automatically rerouting jobs to maintain service-level agreements.

I exited Nosana, moved to Jup after the deepseek news. My guess is these guys will continue to perform but if there are loads of underutilized gpu's in the world there will be increased competition. I hope it works out for everyone, i think their product is interesting.

I'm not a tech guy so I don't claim to understand all this. But there was a post about this from nosana on X. They said: "DeepSeek R1 models are making waves in the Al landscape, and we're proud to say that @nosana_ai provides the GPU inference power these models need to thrive Want to run #DeepSeek on Nosana? I got out at $4 i think there are better coins with better returns Nosana might have a good tech but marketing sucks the team is lagging
