Morgan Stanley's revised forecast for NVIDIA's GB200 shipments

Morgan Stanley's Forecast Adjustment:

Morgan Stanley has significantly lowered its shipment forecast for NVIDIA's GB200 chips for 2025. Initially, the forecast was for 30,000 to 35,000 units, which has now been revised down to 20,000 to 25,000 units, with a worst-case scenario suggesting shipments could fall below 20,000 units. This adjustment is attributed to a slowdown in capital expenditure (capex) from major cloud service providers like Microsoft, which is one of the primary customers for these chips.

Reasons for the Downgrade:

Part is prob due to the DeepSeek FUD..... and an overall rethinking of AI Capex

MY Personal Take

I dont see much of a slowdown. AI is still in an aggressive arms race to get as much compute as possible despite DeepSeek. If anything the breakthrough increases demand!

Nvidia still makes all the important chips. Low end, high end, etc. This pullback is just an opportunity
