YES THIS IS A BITCOIN STORY BUT COMPLICATED:

Interesting split happening between USA and EU.

  • USA focused on AI, Crypto etc

  • EU realizes they are behind in AI and becoming deindustrialized. The EU also sees Bitcoin as a threat its money printing power!

EU NEW PLAN

They have a new plan.. perhaps.... as they are saying the quiet part out loud:

They want to take back the lead in this new era. But how? Tons of money printing! But how? Also launching their CBDC later this year... that is also happening. But how can they compete in this new Era? Lots of INVESTMENT>

2 ways:

1) The ECB can influence the economy through measures like negative interest rates or quantitative easing, which indirectly affect savings. Negative rates, for instance, penalize banks for holding excess reserves, potentially encouraging them to lend more or pass costs to depositors, effectively reducing the value of savings over time.

2) Von der Leyen’s proposal to turn private savings into "much needed investment" could involve policy incentives (e.g., tax breaks or mandates) to redirect savings into government-backed projects. This wouldn’t be a direct confiscation but could feel like a loss of control to individuals if it’s compulsory or heavily encouraged.

My Q is - Why Aren’t EU Citizens Rushing to Buy Bitcoin?

Jim

The Romanian politician who was all set to win has now been banned from taking part. What does that tell you about the EU. Democrappy alive and kicking - same as it ever was. They really have lost it.
