Which Time Frames to Use - EXCLUSIVE Video (Patreon)

Jacob walks us through which time frames to use. Thanks to member simipanda for her question (and for using the IA Tools - you rock).
This video explains a top-down trading strategy using multiple timeframes — starting with higher timeframes like the daily or 4-hour to identify the macro trend, then zooming into lower timeframes like the 1-hour or 30-minute to time your entry.
Step-by-Step Breakdown:
1. Start with the Higher Timeframes (Daily & 4H): Identify the Macro Trend
These timeframes give you the big picture.
For example, if the daily and 4-hour charts show overbought conditions, resistance levels, or trend reversal signals, that’s your cue that a downtrend or sell opportunity may be forming.
2. Confirm That Thesis on the Mid Timeframes (4H, then 1H)
Zoom into the 4-hour chart to see if it's in agreement with the daily.
Look for:
Mean reversion signals (like red dots)
Sell signals
ARB cloud behavior (overextended zones)
Trend flips
If the 4-hour also supports a bearish view, then drop into the 1-hour to refine the entry:
Find confirmation signals:
Sell indicators, cloud behavior, and trend color changes (orange = bearish flip in this case).
3. Zoom Into the Short Timeframes (30-Min, 15 min and 5 min etc.) to Strike
Use lower for precise entry points.
