In 2025, the legal profession witnessed a transformative shift with the introduction of Grok's Workspaces feature, as highlighted in the tutorial for creating specialized AI legal assistants. Alvaro Cintas, a seasoned lawyer at a mid-sized firm, was among the early adopters. Struggling with a backlog of contract reviews and tight deadlines, Alvaro turned to Grok 3's SuperGrok plan to streamline his workload.

Using the step-by-step process, Alvaro created a dedicated Workspace for contract analysis. He set specific instructions for Grok to identify potential liabilities, flag ambiguous clauses, and cross-reference terms with current legal standards. After uploading a 50-page commercial lease agreement, he activated DeepSearch to pull relevant case law and Think mode for a thorough analysis. Within minutes, Grok delivered a detailed report, pinpointing a problematic indemnity clause that could have exposed his client to significant risk—a detail Alvaro might have overlooked under time pressure.

The impact on Alvaro’s practice was immediate. Tasks that once took 10 hours were reduced to minutes, allowing him to take on more clients without sacrificing quality.

I have done similar case using Perplexity. Uploading all documents into a space and then combining AI with documents and web, and or using reasoning. Then you can choose model to be used whether being Grok, Gemini or ChatGPT.

Very funny. I also had to review a lease agreement of 45 pages last week and did couple of rounds to adjust the clauses with the law firm. This took me overall maybe max 1h where it would have taken me half day using ChatGPT pro.
