The 30-year bond yield climbing to 4.889% suggests some investors are worried about higher inflation or stricter policies down the road. These mixed messages in the bond market can confuse people investing their money and make it harder for the Fed to decide what to do.

The US Admin needs to bring these rates down... that is prob their #1 priority as 9.2 Trillion needs to be refinanced... they cannot refi this at such hi rates.

James. You state the Govt needs to get rates down. You are 100% right. My questions is how? Bond market is more powerful the President and JP. I am just watching bonds action and it is doing for lack of better word "what it likes". This really an honest question. How will they do that??

Think about it. You have cash and need to invest. Will you buy USD and invest in Bonds of a extremely indebted country for less than 5%? Better purchase other currencies or put your money in the stock market. Personally to start thinking about buying treasuries I need min 8% for 10Y and still. Powell will only cut rates if the inflation is at 2% or the economy is serious trouble.

Drop the tariff bs to start. It seems obvious that us treasury holders are selling off as a direct result of our unfounded tariffs.
