Big Tech AI Layoffs Continue - this time MSFT (Patreon)

This new performance plan and culling was pretty ruthless. I have not seen this come from the likes of a Big Tech firm before.
Microsoft started laying off about 3% of its employees, affecting different parts of the company. Even though Microsoft is making good money, they’re doing this to cut down on management layers to shovel even more money into AI. This is similar to what Amazon did recently, when they got rid of a lot of middle management jobs to run things more efficiently.
AI is changing the tech industry fast. More and more, AI is taking over routine tasks that people used to do. Because of this, big companies like Microsoft and Google are letting go of workers, which is making people worry about job security and the economy as a whole.
Some workers are now looking for jobs outside of big tech companies, hoping for more stability. Microsoft is also investing more in places like India, which makes some U.S. employees nervous about their own job prospects. On top of that, the work environment is getting tougher, and employees are being pushed to adapt quickly to keep up in a job market that feels less secure than before.
Hang tough out there....
