Optimus Robot Tours:

Tesla wants to start giving investors tours of its small-scale Optimus robot production by the end of 2025.

Robotaxi Launch:

Tesla is planning to launch its self-driving taxi service in Austin soon. They’ll start with 20 cars in June, and it’ll be invite-only at first.

Optimus Production:

  • Right now, Tesla can build 12 Optimus robots at at a time in its Fremont factory.

  • They can make about 1,000 robots a month with the current setup.

  • The next production line should allow for 10,000 robots per month. 120K a year.

  • The third-generation line is planned to be 10 times more powerful - 100,000 per Month - 1.2M per year.

  • Tesla hopes to produce 5,000 Optimus robots by the end of 2025.

  • AI for Robots: The AI used in the Optimus robot is much bigger and more complex than the one used in Tesla cars. So is the Neural Net!

Dojo Supercomputer:

Tesla’s next version of its Dojo computer (Dojo 2) is expected in 2026. It’ll be more efficient and cheaper than Nvidia’s current systems, but not quite as powerful yet.

Dojo 3 is planned for 2028. Tesla hopes to close the performance gap with Nvidia by making faster, more specialized chips and cutting costs.

Q: I now have a few hundreds of $TSLA shares, but low in cash. Is it ok to Sell 100 TSLA shares and use the cash to buy 3 leads call TSLA $350 Exp 2026/12/18 at$115? or what is the optimal leap calls price exp date? Wonder what would James and other James' community members suggest, if I want to invest more on $TSLA? TIA. BTC_Taiwan.

I read a good book on this topic called intrinsic, and the whole premise was buy LEAPs that are about 5% to break even. I'm certainly no expert, but my understanding is that buying deep in the money calls means they are mostly intrinsic value and therefore you're wasting less money on premium. I'd look at going out to 2027 if you can. Think James likes to go out 18 months if I remember correctly. This gives your thesis longer to play out & be profitable. You'll be able to afford more by buying calls than shares, but then you also need to make sure you're either continuing to stack appreciating stock/cash or have plenty of margin to convert to shares later upon expiration.
