TLDR: Bitcoin ownership is heavily male-dominated, with the highest concentration among men aged 31-45, while female ownership is much lower and more evenly distributed

The Deets:

  • Gender Gap: Males own significantly more Bitcoin than females. Males account for 86.5% of ownership (sum of male percentages: 40.5% + 35.9% + others), while females hold only 13.5%.

  • Age Distribution for Males: Male ownership peaks in the 31-35 age group (40.5%), followed by 41-45 (35.9%). Ownership decreases in older age groups, with minimal ownership above 76.

  • Age Distribution for Females: Female ownership is more evenly spread but lower overall, peaking slightly in the 26-30 age group (13.5%). Like males, ownership drops in older age groups.

  • Older Age Groups: Both genders show very low Bitcoin ownership above 70, with almost ZERO over 80.

Who cares. Men will always be the innovators overall. We take risks faster.

Sad, but not surprising, to see so many sexist remarks from the 'men' in the comments section. Thank you James for highlighting this important information. I think women are catching up (and in a lot of cases overtaking men) in terms of their careers and income levels, so in turn this will inevitably bring more women into the space. It takes people like you to help this happen and us ladies are here for it! We appreciate you. XX
