EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Mean Reversion & Signal Mastery & Profit Taking Muscle Memory (Patreon)

Jacob uses Mean Reversion (part of IADSS) & LILO when looking at SEI and HIMS charts.
Mean Reversion & Signal Mastery
1. Mean Reversion Spikes = Time to Observe
SEI (SE) showed a mean reversion score of 3.1 on the 4-hour chart — extremely elevated.
In uptrends, high mean reversion can persist longer, as seen in MicroStrategy (MSTR) from September to November, so high values alone aren’t a sell signal.
Use the "Optimized Trend" model: It helps you ride the uptrend and avoid premature exits.
2. Divergences Are Key Signals
Watch for mean reversion making a lower high while price is making a higher high. This is a divergence that often signals a top.
Classic pattern: mean reversion rolls over before the asset price does — use this as your early warning.
3. LILO Model Profit Zones
Levels 6, 7, and 8 on the LILO model are prime zones for partial profit-taking.
Specifically, Level 8 often aligns with a price peak.
Reinforce your “profit-taking reflex” by consistently taking 1–5% off the table when these levels are hit — even during strong trends.
4. Extended Hours Expose True Drops
Example: HIMS showed only a moderate drop on the regular 4-hour chart.
But switching to Extended Trading Hours (ETH) mode revealed a -3.0 mean reversion crash, mostly pre-market.
Key takeaway: Always toggle RTH ➡ ETH to capture the full volatility picture, especially during news-driven events.
5. Hidden Bottoms and Snapbacks
HIMS showed signs of bottoming even with extreme pre-market drops.
When mean reversion hits very low values in ETH, look for potential reversal zones or snapbacks during the regular session.
6. Use 1-Hour Charts for High-Flyers
During parabolic runs, 4-hour charts may stay overextended.
Zooming into 1-hour charts shows mean reversion resets and small consolidations — key for identifying safe re-entries or profit levels.
7. Profit Opportunity = SEI 100%+ Gains in a Week?
When an asset doubles in under 10 days, that’s your cue to train muscle memory: Take a slice off, no matter what.
Helps avoid greed traps and cultivates a disciplined trading psyche.
Core Philosophy
“Your edge in trading is going to come from these little nuances and patterns.”
— These include divergences, extended-hour traps, trend-color psychology, and LILO levels.
