My Cybertruck cost per mile is $0.0429!

Was interested to calculate how efficient the new Cybercab will be when it launches at scale in 2026.

MPG equivalent = (5.5 miles / $0.13) / (1 mile / $5) = (42.31 miles per dollar) / (0.2 miles per dollar) ≈ 211.55 MPG.

In Liters per 100km - approximately 1.79 liters per 100 km - assuming 4 liters costs US$5 which it does not - it is a lot more expensive in many EU countries.

It will be impossible to beat this efficiency and cost at scale.

Late to the party

Got to wonder how some of us would get out - looks low to the ground!

I think the megapack batteries site of Tesla should be stressed more than TESLA cars/fsd/tesla taxis. In the Netherlands they opened up a megapack factory and Shanghai will be next. Somehow media do not associate these megapack batteries with Mr Musk and therefor these megapack factories get positive reviews(environmental/practical reasons). Even though I am an investor, I am working class now (garbage collector man on a truck) my colleagues (anti-woke) who are considering EV's do not consider anything connected with Mr Musk because of his association with AFD/Tony Robinson/Mr Trump and they cannot afford buying a second hand TESLA EV , but they are considering other second hand EV brands in spite of disappearing subsidies. On a sitenote, my colleagues who are in crypto, still "believe "in XRP and Cardano and do not consider any other coin, only one of them once bought bitcoin, but definitely will not rebuy except XRP, No matter what KOLS are saying about altseason, working class with an income under 50000 a year are done with other altcoins. Us, people who have been here for a longer time period, will be playing musical chairs.

So give it to me straight: my Civic is about 25 MPG. price of gas in CA $4.65/gal. Comparably how much i'll save compared with James' CT? anyone?

You bought a cybertruck? I'm amazed. Let us know how that goes.

miles per gallon. It's a way to compare efficiency and cost in terms of gas vehicle metrics. Ex. a gas SUV might get 20 miles to the gallon. By comparison, the Cybercab would get the equivalent of 211.55 miles per gallon.

His math is based on $5 gas... So, sandbagged figure: His truck is 8 times more cost efficient than your civic. Imagine the gas you pay for driving you 8 times further or 1/8th the cost.

we have something like $2/liter so that's about $7.5/gallon in multiple countries in central/eastern Europe.

The Tesla Files article seems to highlight genuine concerns with FSD leading to serious accidents and fatalities.
