An interesting slide that popped up, my take on the findings:

  • AI performing 80% of economically valuable tasks - very possible given the rate of improvemet in AI. Rapid AI advancements could see significant automation in many professions.

  • AI "interns" boosting productivity: This is plausible, as AI tools are already enhancing efficiency in fields like medicine and engineering.

  • Massive productivity gains driving GDP growth: Likely, given current AI-driven economic trends, though social structures adapting slowly is a reasonable assumption. Already seeing it with Oracle, Salesforce, Tesla, etc

  • Healthcare disruption with scalable AI expertise and self-driving diagnostics: As I said in a post last week it is almost negligent not to use AI in diagnostics etc.

  • Early humanoid robot deployments: Very very possible in factories, maybe kitchen work, though widespread adoption may take longer. First use cases will be industrial.

  • Public transit disruption with self-driving pods: On-demand systems could emerge, especially in urban areas with bike lanes.

  • Fusion and geothermal energy breakthroughs: I dont know anything about this space. Been hearing about Fusion breakthroughs for 35 years!

I was recently at an airport watching multiple employees doing the minimum amount of work with low consideration for customer satisfaction. all of these workers are going to be replaced.

James, what do you think of clover health and their SAAS counterpart health? I think HC companies will save millions integrating this system

Does anyone think our political system is going to allow Robots to display humans in jobs? I have a hard time believing that. Especially any area that has organized labor. The AI threat will supercharge organized labor also.

I’m worried about TSLA now. What would be a good AI alternative investment?

AI and robots boosting productivity is an amazing development. However, if they do end up displacing millions from jobs, then at some point there will be significantly less consumers, with money, to spend on all these products and services that AI and robots that are making it easier to create.

People will b able to afford more w/ less. Technology is deflationary (things get cheaper)

Longshoreman unions are super threatened which is why they halted work for so long. Computers/robots can already displace them so they asked for assurances that they would not be replaced into the contracts

Any thoughts on AI taking over the classroom as teachers?

Just found this amazing Aus health Ai stock, EchoIQ. Doing exactly what the post said with cardiac diagnostics. I don’t see hands on healthcare just like physical therapist / speech therapist changing a lot though.

What will human be doing is the real question

If anyone can solve the energy crisis, it’s Tesla. I’m not talking about batteries or solar either. I’m talking about real breakthroughs we have not even thought of yet.

I agree Viking that there is more hype than realized progress so far. But in 3 years I don't think anyone will be laughing at it. We will all know people who have lost their jobs to AI and will be scraping for jobs in service heavy or specialized labor (trades) positions.
