Yesterday, I jokingly told a friend that after Saturday's depressing news, the only way Elon could redeem himself is with bitcoin. Just 36 hours later, it happened! This is massive, and the world is buzzing with excitement.

The fallout for Tesla stock is not that bad, price for now is holding above $300.

It would seem that Elon has little confidence that AI will save the country from the deepening deficit created by the BBB. Ironic given who it’s coming from. Interesting times!

I am shocked that Tesla’s board of directors has not taken measures to quell Elon’s foray into politics. I thought for sure the board asked him to separate from DOGE when he left. It is clear Elon does not care about shareholders’ earnings. I do wish Elon would look after shareholder earnings as well as Jensen Huang. I guess adding Jensen to Tesla’s board of directors is probably not possible due to potential conflicts of interest.

I’m sick of the threats and name calling FROM BOTH ELON AND TRUMP. Rehabilitating the Republican Party I believe is easier than building from the ground up. The Social Democrats decided in 2015-16 along with other left leaning groups that the democrats could be influenced and taken over AND THEY DID IT! Repubs already have a centrist group to work with, a well defined plan forward appealing to that group would go a long way to attracting more people than trying to strip that group out for a new party. I’ve been selling some of my TSLA and reinvesting in more STABLE stock. I’m old and tired of taking it in the shorts. I still have a major holding and now have to gut it out until prices recover AGAIN. I’d love to hear from the 80% of you who want a new party vs rehabbing the republican.

How is this even news? Seriously, hasn't Elon been pro BTC for several years. Nothing new here except maybe a staged tweet to get the plebs excited!?! Sorry, but that's what it feels like. Maybe I'm missing something.

Anyone who thinks that AI is going to “save the country” is misguided. The transition to anything plentiful and abundant is going to be extremely violent, chaotic, polarising, divisive and potentially system-breaking. At the moment everyone is caught up in the “Oooh aren’t we clever, look what it can do now….” phase without actually understanding the real consequences when massive job cuts come and wealth generation becomes even more favourable to the rich.

I think I was wrong on this post. AI says his personal holdings were less than 1 BTC and he has not sold. He did sell 75% of Tesla’s BTC holdings in 2022. Sorry for spreading inaccurate information. Good news he’s considering buying now.
