I feel removing Jerome Powell could lead to an explosion in economic growth, wealth etc.

Others argue Powell cannot be legally fired, as the Federal Reserve Act protects the Chair's position, requiring Senate confirmation and offering limited presidential removal power.

But I respond with why do we even have the Federal Reserve, when you read the history and see how they oeprate.

I would love to see the Fed eliminated and not pay back the fake (fiat) debit. All their money is counterfeit. Borrowing counterfeit money from bankers and paying them back with laundered money + interest is the ultimate criminal scam in the history of the world. Outlawing Usary is one of the few things the Arabs got right.

Agreed, the fed reserve should have never been allowed to start operating in the US. The old European banking families were held back for a very long time until "we the people" forgot about them and they snuck in.

Meh, I'll believe it when it happens. That said, rates down, assets up, cos inflation up. Net, net, it's not a good thing, IMO.

Dark Star

JP is just one vote in 12. If they others thought a rate cut was an arrested it would happen. I am not saying they are right — only that JP is being scapegoated for having a different opinion.

Let’s get this done !! So overdue Go Trump !!

It’s perfect timing to move the narrative from Epstein —> ethics/legality of Powell removal. As long as it doesn’t shake the bond market too much (Republican dominated) Trump would much prefer ushering in the “new narrative”

Ffs what a load of rubbish. Markets already at historic highs, in almost everything. There’s supposed to be separation of powers - don’t like what Powell does (I don’t either), just suck it up because who’s next if trump starts going over lines like this. Yeah yeah the history, yawn.

David Larkin

US equity market already trading like a shitcoin up and down on trump…if he cans the fed chairman makes the whole thing look like even more of a circus.

Clark

I really, really hope Trump does this. It would be yet another unprecedented, correct and necessary act of his. The right man at the right time.

I agreed with you right up to the last sentence. Money lending is very necessary for running a dynamic capitalist system. Free fiat money that is then lent is the problem, not lending itself, especially when real world assets are attached as collateral.

Oberon

Agree with some of the comments here: without that separation of powers, it's fine when your team is in but what about when the other team is in?
