The landscape of Crypto Financial Services is evolving at lightning speed... BUY JLP - DEPOSIT JLP - BORROW USDC - SPECULATE - REPAY LOAN - POCKET THE PROFITS

What a flywheel

in 2024 I held a lot of JLP... will get more soon for the bear :D

James, do you consider JLP a good asset for a bear market and why ? Surely it's as prone to a significant downturn just like any other token ?

GetOffZero

How much interest would you have to pay on top of the loan? Presumably this is for those earning enough to be able to pay off the interest + loan comfortably, on top of their everyday expenses?

Chewie

Because JLP linked to amount Perps done I think it could stay up better in a Bear

Chewie

Or just as easily, take loan, lose money on investment and lose JLP as well Just so folks aware. Borrowing to speculate is risky and even more so in late Bull Liquid staking will do me & In equities MSTY or STRF etc

Andy

If you are doing this with a small part of your bag then I think it's fine, or you can afford to lose it. I have never been comfortable borrowing so would try just for the experience.

Iv been thinking about jlp as a hedge instead of perping? Anyone else thinking this. Also gives you the advantage of borrowing at 🐻 bottoms!

Its so funny how history repeats - all of a sudden all these financial services come out of nowhere - remember Voyager Digital, BlockFi, Celsius...

vivid waves

I can never forget Celsius.

As an example…. I converted 4% of my MSTR profits to MSTY. I’m receiving $5-$10k per month in dividends. The underlying is $15k in profit. May not be forever, but what a way to generate cash flow until it doesn’t!!!! What if I converted a small % of my equity in rental properties to MSTY? The possibilities for generating massive leveraged cash flow is insane!!!

I think the difference between last cycles BlockFi, Celsius, FTX, etc and this, is that this is rooted in a smart contract without the "trust me bro/con artist" element that lead to all of last cycle players blowing up. I'm sure there's still risks, though I don't know what they are, and personally I think the space is too volatile to use leverage like that. But someone like James using very small allocations as a percentage and using it to snipe opportunities, I bet he can make a big chuck of cash with this new potential.

I got all my JLP rugged back then… tough lesson

Bimble Wimble

Can we get an update on OTC desk supplies of BTC? Gotta be heavily dwindled now surely?
