Lagarde and the CBDC Digital Euro (Patreon)

Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, has announced that efforts to develop the Digital Euro are progressing, she is gunning for OCT 2025 Launch. She has been obsessed with this initiative for about five and a half years

Before 2020 I never cared about Govts or Politics. But after COVID-19, it has highlighted for me how policies like lockdowns and vaccine passports in places like SF, California, prompted me to pay closer attention to government actions and their implications for my personal freedoms. Similarly, studying Bitcoin since 2017 has given me a new view of the nature of money, central banks, and financial systems.

POTENTIAL DANGER

If the Digital Euro is implemented as planned, it could enable greater oversight of financial transactions, potentially influencing how anyone spends and manages money. Examples from systems like China's digital currency illustrate for me the extent to which such tools can integrate into daily life and governance. If they control your money they can force you to do pretty much anything! I am pretty sure if Gavin Newsom had access to a CBDC in 2020 he would have enforced extremely draconian measures on everyone.
