Why I Never Sold My ETH A Long-Term Infrastructure Play With all due respect to James and the bullish case for Solana (I hold SOL too), I never wavered from my Ethereum position and here’s why: While Solana excels on speed, scalability, and is seeing explosive ecosystem growth, Tom Lee’s thesis for Ethereum isn't about TPS or gas fees. It’s about macro relevance and long-term infrastructure value. Ethereum is becoming the programmable foundation for the next financial system. As I’ve shared with the group before, my belief has always been that Ethereum will play a foundational role in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). That conviction has only grown stronger as the space matures. Tom Lee’s Bull Case for Ethereum: Ethereum is now having its “2017 Bitcoin moment” — the point where Wall Street starts taking it seriously. Just like Bitcoin became accepted as digital gold, Ethereum is becoming recognized as the backbone for financial digitization. Lee “Wall Street is now running to tokenize and financialize their entire system on the blockchain. That means they require smart contracts and the biggest and most secure blockchain with no downtime is Ethereum.” This isn’t about hype. It’s about infrastructure. Ethereum leads in: ✅ Network legitimacy ✅ Institutional adoption ✅ Stablecoin dominance ✅ Legal/regulatory alignment ✅ Security and uptime ✅ Smart contract maturity Wall Street is not building on Solana, at least not yet. They're building on Ethereum. They're tokenizing bonds, treasuries, and equities on a blockchain that already powers the majority of stablecoin activity and RWAs. “Ethereum is the biggest macro trade of the decade. Bitcoin had its 2017 moment — now it’s Ethereum’s turn.” — Tom Lee He’s backing that statement not just with words, but capital founding Bitmine, an Ethereum-focused treasury company. This is not ETH vs. SOL It’s ETH AND SOL Solana can be your high-performance layer for UX and speed. Ethereum can be your settlement and compliance layer the L1 where institutions plant their flag. We’re not in a race for one chain to rule them all. We’re watching different parts of a multi-chain stack evolve, and Ethereum is cementing its role as the financial base layer. This is why I didn’t dump ETH. I doubled down on the macro infrastructure thesis not just price action.

Very good summary, thank you for this. Luckily I also did not swap all my ETH to SOL as both can be winner assets. ETH clearly has a very strong momentum now.

Bring Tom Lee and Fred Krueger to the show, that would be a great debate.

James, other podcasts have featured Tom Lee, and it would be fantastic to have him on IA. Exploring your datasets with him would be incredibly insightful and a great learning opportunity. I think this should be a top priority!

UPXI is not tradable on Fidelity 🤔

You have to call to get it. I did this. You can sell online but cant buy online you have to call. They will waive the fee also since you cant buy online

Where are you getting the data from? All the numbers and the data that I was able to find says that Etherium is bigger than Solana in tractions and revenue. Can you please verify the data and where does it comes from?

TG

Solana does have a lot more transactions than Ethereum, you can check using AI. However, Solana registers more failed transactions versus Ethereums near zero transaction failures. It also seems that these failed transaction numbers are included in Solanas transaction count... Which can be misleading
