This is the biggest factor affecting US/China competition and I believe will ultimately be the US’s downfall. China is playing the long game while America eats its self from the inside out squabbling over 4 year electoral cycles.

Yeah but the WEF, Gore, Clinton foundation, and libtard cronies got filthy rich on bs solar and wind. In the meantime Europe is out energy, China said well that’s fucking stupid and good luck, we’ll go with the most efficient way of generating energy. Now we must play catchup; deregulation for nuclear in the US just happened, now we need 10 years to go live; maybe 20 when the next libtard gets into office and tries to regulate back out existance.

Nuclear is not the solution. If you have ever encountered radioactive material, you will know why. Again, the ignotancein this group is fuelled by forgetfulness about past events, short-termism and greed. Elon is right with energy storage and solar, but Bill Gates utterly wrong by shifting from aid to nuclear.

They promote thorium as the clean alternative, an old hat from some 20 years ago. ^232Th -> ^233U. You DO get less Pu and actinides, but the half-life of the waste is still rich in ^233U, so not much gain here. The Th reactors themselves can be of a somewhat simpler design and are cheaper, so we end up with a more economic production of long-term toxic waste. Fun fact: ^233U has a half-life of 160,000 years. No comment.
