Elon Musk's says the unreleased Grok 5, expected before the end of 2025 "has a shot at being true AGI"

What is AGI? Artificial General Intelligence refers to AI that can perform any intellectual task a human can, across diverse domains, with flexibility, learning, and understanding—not just specialized "narrow AI" like today's models (e.g., ChatGPT excels at language but can't autonomously run a business or invent new science).

"True AGI" implies a system that's not only broad but self-improving, creative, and coherent over time, potentially leading to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) if it surpasses human intelligence.

Achieving "true AGI" with models like Grok 5 could be a pivotal moment, often called the "technological singularity"—a point where AI drives exponential progress.

Grok actually is no good as James make it look. We dont have to like every product Elon does...not everything James says is accurate. ..we love both of them though

We're some way off clearly looking at where we are now - again a strange post to mention. We know Elon posts shit which is often off by a long way. Best way to remember this - note this and see where we are in 6 months time. If he's right, great. If he's wrong, take a reality check and learn from it. We know Elon posts stuff that's off by years. Doesn't mean he isn't a genius etc for the defensive out there. We all know James worships Elon, but doesn't mean you have to only post positive stuff about him. Just comes across a bit odd.

Unique links are created when Grok users share a transcript of their conversation - but as well as sharing the chat with the intended recipient, the button also appears to have made the chats searchable online. A Google search on Thursday revealed it had indexed nearly 300,000 Grok conversations. Among chat transcripts seen by the BBC were examples of Grok being asked to create a secure password, provide meal plans for weight loss and answer detailed questions about medical conditions. The BBC has approached X for comment.”

If Grok 5 is AGI, then what stops people from using it to become an FSD competitor. FSD has a data advantage from all the recorded miles driven by Tesla's, but does this data become irrelevant if AGI is born? Im not a techpert, but if AGI can do any cognitive task a human can do then couldn't you just plug it into a car with cameras and tell it to drive?
