USA was always considered a consumer economy ie GDP depended on the consumer.

Well that is no more.

In the first half of 2025, AI spending added more to US GDP than personal consumption did.

This was also aided by personal consumption falling off a cliff ... bad sign.

Great show James. Thx. Hey I noticed your Patreon video window in the post feed has lost its transport bar. Anyone else seeing this? Basically you can only hit play and if you pause it it starts over. I’m over on YouTube to be able to rewind and rehear a section.

Hey James, shouldn't we find New Ai stock to invest in, like Iren, Bitf? They can have huge potential. Btc miners who r getting into HPC seem very attractive.

I feel we will have one hell of an opportunity investing in AI during the bear if we have one. AI stock i am currently in are small trading position and i will be edgy to hold on to as we come close to business cycle top.

I am seeing it on my iPhone in the app? As in, I can watch the same as on YouTube.

If usa won't be a consumer economy they need to change their economy, maybe a circular economy...👀🛠

Future UBI with AI and Bots dominated GDP driving economy?

Rex

Sure, the moment these seven magnificent aholes got a sniff of substituting people with the machine, they started to fire personnel like crazy. It also added up to poor covid hr planning and overstaffing, so all of it together gave you this drop. Personally, I give very low trust to any company at the moment - rely on yourself and be self-sufficient.

Would love to see an older chart on this to see how it aligns with dips or recessions.
