We know Elon is going after enterprise software w Macrohard per my post earlier this week.

But this was a shock. 3 big takeaways

Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella says he’s worried the company could become irrelevant — or even collapse — if it doesn’t keep up with the fast pace of AI. He points to Digital Equipment Corporation, a big tech player that faded into history, as a warning sign.

Microsoft is betting huge on artificial intelligence, pouring $80 billion into building AI data centers. To make this happen, they’re rethinking priorities, even if it means dropping older products or business areas that no longer make sense. He is also worried he will blow too much cash on what could be a boondoggle (my interpretation not his words)

Final pt, the shift to AI has employees on edge. Many are nervous about job cuts or being replaced by AI, while at the same time the company is aggressively hiring new AI experts to stay competitive.

Is it horrible to ask how can we position shorting this whole boondoggle across the industry?

Uhhhh, I’m going to go out in a limb here and guess they have AI programming expertise/skills…just a wild guess 🤷

As usual for msm. I thought so. This statement sounds like a rephrasing of a typical warning or motivational speech, telling employees to be vigilant in a competitive market.
