Billions were made but the Q is where???

Being in Bitcoin was the safest place... and this years outlier was Exchange Tokens like BNB and CRO

  1. Exchange tokens won the year Exchange Tokens (+86%):

  2. Bitcoin number 2 (+78%)

  3. Layer 1 Smart Contracts (+75%)

  4. Privacy Coins (+63%): Demand for anonymity tools grew, possibly due to regulatory pressures.

  5. Ethereum came in next (+57.9%) thanks to Tom Lee,,,, if it was not for him ETH would have been flat the last year.

  6. Other notable performers: Oracles (+57%) benefited from DeFi and real-world asset data needs

Where Money Was Lost:

  1. Bridge Services (-54%): Cross-chain bridges faced ongoing hacks and reduced usage.

  2. File Storage (-45%): Decentralized storage competed poorly with centralized alternatives.

  3. AI (-35%)

  4. PERP DEX (-35%): Early AI-crypto integrations underperformed amid hype fatigue.

  5. Gaming is always dead due to horrific tokenomics

So….anyone seen the Dennis Porter mega news?

Stephen B

it was a nothingburger, Porter backs pro bitcoin political candidate for California gov

I know it's taboo here...seen as total shite...but what about the 481% I made on XRP? Better than all the others here it seems. A lot of $$ after taxes. Sometimes, even the shite coins pay. Paid off our properties. Bags still packed and ready for the utility run.

Gareth

Amazing, the answer is always Bitcoin...

El Terrifico

A post should be put up about Dennis Porters nothing-burger. Porter and Bitcoin Historian are not credits to the space.

We can't attribute ETH success just to Tom Lee. Yes he shilled it hard but Institutions already backing and continue to back ETH. Maybe next cycle they may pivot to something better but costs and speed less than issue than perceived security for them Exchange tokens like CRO did me well last Bull too. Pity kept none this time.

Try telling Ellio trades gaming crypto is dead. Anyone watch him? Quite a well subscribed channel. That guy's been peddling that BS for years. He suckered me on a few of them back when I first got an interest in crypto and God knows how much money folks have lost following his nonsense since then.

Hard to argue against the results, even if the asset seems silly. But what isn't hard to argue with is that it's a pretty hard sell to get involved at its current price unless you are bullish on the application. Most here are absolutely not convinced on its longevity. But your point is accurate.

Looking at the charts for btc. Not looking good. Kinda do or due time next two weeks.

I agree. ETH success is due to Lee and other ETF. ETH /SOl pays staking interest, but Bitcoin does not; it is a store of value only.
