On September 24, 2025, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) detected and tracked two Russian Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bombers (NATO designation: "Bear") and two Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets operating in the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). This zone is a buffer of international airspace extending beyond U.S. and Canadian sovereign borders (typically up to 200 nautical miles offshore), where aircraft must identify themselves for national security purposes. The Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter U.S. or Canadian sovereign territory.

Just more "noise". Russia has been our longtime ally since ww2. I am still on the fence if the invasion of Ukraine actually happened or not. Who knows what to believe when the billionaires control ALL the media outlets.

They are called intercepts and are actually pretty common occurrences both in the air and at sea. Difference here is that they are with bombers vice the usual fighters.
