How do you actually physically place a trade. I have no idea sorry for stupid question

interesting how Americans always seem to think that something that is happening in the US is a global femomenon.

Where is James getting the objective data that Grok is the #1 LLM? Every comparison I see have different models excelling in different areas. Is it just Elon glazing?

hennie

The only comparable data currently available is Tesla's performance in the past quarter relative to other electric vehicle (EV) sales, including Tesla's own sales. Tesla's numbers are expected to be higher than in previous quarters, which will likely excite James. However, the fourth quarter may see a decline in sales, as many consumers likely purchased EVs in the third quarter to take advantage of tax incentives. A more accurate comparison of Tesla's EV sales versus total vehicle sales will be possible with first-quarter 2025 data. This pattern has been observed in other countries where EV subsidies were reduced or eliminated.

James means probably that the quality of the answers feel superior to his own questions . Also his hero Mr Musk says so. Or selective/biased shopping. . Grok gives you this(less biased?) answer: Determining the "number 1" large language model (LLM) in October 2025 is subjective and depends on the evaluation criteria—such as overall benchmarks (e.g., reasoning, coding, multimodal tasks), real-world usage, open-source accessibility, or specialized strengths like speed and cost. There's no universal consensus, as rankings shift weekly based on new releases and evaluations from sources like LMSYS Chatbot Arena, Hugging Face leaderboards, and independent benchmarks (e.g., GPQA for reasoning, SWE-Bench for coding). Based on the latest aggregated data from leaderboards, expert analyses, and community benchmarks as of early October 2025, OpenAI's GPT-5 emerges as the top overall LLM for most general-purpose and frontier tasks. Here's why, along with a comparison to close contenders: Why GPT-5? Release and Capabilities: Launched in August 2025, it's OpenAI's unified reasoning model with over 1 trillion parameters (exact count undisclosed). It excels in multimodal processing (text, images, audio, video), long-context handling (up to 2M tokens), and step-by-step "Thinking" mode for complex problem-solving. Benchmark Performance: Tops or near-tops non-saturated benchmarks like GPQA Diamond (reasoning: ~92%), AIME 2025 (math: 18.8% on Humanity’s Last Exam), and LiveCodeBench (coding). It outperforms predecessors like GPT-4o in efficiency and error recovery during chained reasoning. Real-World Adoption: Highest token usage on platforms like OpenRouter (2.9% share) and widespread integration in tools like Cursor for coding. Users praise its "scary smart" recovery from reasoning errors, making it ideal for agents, research, and enterprise apps. Limitations: Proprietary (closed-source), high cost for heavy use (~$0.01–$0.05 per 1K tokens), and occasional overthinking on simple tasks. Top Contenders Comparison For context, here's a table of the leading LLMs across key metrics (drawn from Vellum AI, Artificial Analysis, and LMSYS leaderboards as of September–October 2025). Scores are averaged from recent evals (higher is better; e.g., 0–100 scale for reasoning/coding). More texts if you view the answer in Grok

Funny to still hear the talking point of "the unfair situation the US was in" importing more than they export since they are the biggest economy on earth. On the bright side: first time IA acknowledges that tariffs do up the US prices. Now just connect all the data points of high electricity prices, low trust in US dollar etc.

Funny, I have never understood how he, as a capitalist, suddenly stands for high taxes and price controls

James, did you listen to the last pod of ALL IN with CEO of Arm... he said his company stands to do better (I guess in % terms) than even nvida because he deals with IP and not manufacturing? Just wondered if you thought it was another good one to have perhaps as 1% of portfolio play? Many thanks

Technology is still difficult for some to grasp it took yrs for my mother to get a computer & send an email mail then she would not get a new phone 🙄 even my slightly older brother and some friends don't have a clue its like watching the muppet show . Or they think you know voodoo or do black magic . But you just have to be interested and engage your brain even a 2x4 piece of wood has a better chance of making money than most .
