I tried to short Netflix - tried to buy the $1175 puts for $5 - the price they closed at yesterday.

I also tried a Bear Put Spread (Vertical Debit Spread) - PUT prices shot up

Did not get a fill on the puts or my BPS.

I am cancelling my orders and will revisit later.

The world is outraged about some Netflix content and it is causing a huge flurry of cancellations over the last 12 hours.

Why just Netflix, though? We’re totally chill with blood-splattered gunfights, spicy nude scenes, and that classic rape and robbery charm in every blockbuster. But, oh no, a cartoon? That’s the apocalypse! Meanwhile, your 7YO tech prodigy is probably hacking your parental controls while you’re busy raging. News flash: they’re light years ahead of your “protect the kids” charade. And the hypocrisy? Majority of you are just bleating sheep, canceling because Elon said “jump.” Pathetic! Elon's crusade? Not my circus. His agenda? Not my script.

This crap happened when they Backed Harris last year snd Netflix just raised prices and friggin boooommmeeed. ALL of my conservative friends monitor and remove movies and shows with trans in it for their children anyways. NONE of them are cancelling. Drop another $100 and ill be scooping some up when we get some bounce on the chart. Bought a Leap today for a year out. Gonna be a 1500$ stock and/or split easily. Too many families living under one roof these days not to have netflix. They toss the ipad to their children and get stuck working 60 hrs/week.

All of you hating on Netflix right now are simply ridiculous. Additionally, all of the negative comments on the company are comical. When James wrote, “The world is hating on Netflix right now”, what he meant to say is “MAGA is hating on Netflix right now”. Let’s be clear on that!

not sure what people are upset about now, but i remember during covid they were pedaling a documentary celebrating little girls twerking - disgusting. haven't had netflix since and not missing out much.

This is so interesting. I’m not fan of Netflix political content and as a Father I find it troubling. However I cannot help but think of what often happens when a stock gets heavy shorting pressures if fundamentals stay intact. This should very interesting to observe

most of the time i like your trades and have made a lot of money based on your POV, but in this case i'll take the other side of that bet!... when you say "the world is outraged" you mean members of extremist parties in some western countries... i think most normal, average people in the world don't watch whatever show has musk all spun up about, or even care what it is... i think "the world" for the most part, doesn't care to be preached to by the american version of Al-Qaeda
