This chart is fascinating… the 2000s look like a lost decade, but even then, still plenty of money to be made if you are in the right assets - despite the dotcom crash and the GFC double-whammy.

What stands out today is 14%. That’s my benchmark: if you’re not compounding at 14%+, you’re falling behind FIAT debasement.

Be in the top 1% of assets. You buy ETFs and Indexes you are probably drowning.

Phew.. 2000s my early career years so didn’t feel the pinch but remember clearly how MBS destroyed 401ks, retirement savings for many

Except when it’s bitcoin or Solana etf! 😍

I Get It Now !!

But they always say by the qqq or other indexes. It's a safe play 🤯

This has been a good decade. Those small investments in quantum computing pure plays (remember them?) have overtaken TSLA and NVDA position combined. Initial cap investments were sized as per risk, so, that was a healthy return. RGTI and QBTS my top performers…by far. Was getting a little guff when Jensen dumped them w narrative (bought more at support/reversal). DISRUPT FTW! Asymmetric bets only. Happy days. For now. We’ll see!

Can you provide some analysis on $ASST? They acquired $SMLR and its been hit hard recently. Is it a buy now?

Was drowning, yes. Value investing cost me a lot of money.

Gone With TSLA

Can someone please refresh the list of 1% assets for me ? Just want to make sure I have some positions in all of them.

Interesting to look at the 70s: in the stagflation times, P/E suffered the most, while dividends partially held, and earnings kept up with inflation. It appears that disruption will undergo a very stringent filter in a stagflationary environment. Any thought?

James , my company offers investment seminars by typical investment brokers. They’re still pushing bonds in their charts. I called them on it talking about how bonds were dead due to debasement and how the govt needed to buy their own bonds since nobody wants them. I know you regularly state if you aren’t getting a 14% return you’re sinking. Where do you get those numbers? I’d like to use them in my ongoing discussions with these entities. Thanks
