The Sinaloa Cartel is threatening to target American citizens in popular tourist spots like Cabo in response to lab raids and seizures. A banner was recently erected addressing FBI Director Kash Patel. "The banner first surfaced on Sunday in Baja California, where gunmen left two banners allegedly signed by Los Chapitos,"

The banners claim that starting on Sunday, they will be targeting U.S. citizens in Mexico in response to recent lab raids and weapons seizures.

The banners were quickly taken down by authorities.

Posts like this are extremely polarizing. I don't see how they add value. The only result I see from them is that they fuel tensions. We could spend years discussing all the negative any one particular country has had or is having on other countries. I suggest a vote to see if the community wants posts like these to continue.

I just checked with some contacts I have in La Ventana. Their take is that rumors like this pop up frequently and the source is unverified. Probably nothing to worry about. Tourism is very important to the area so they are unlikely to jeopardize that

Mexico is a failed state, stay away. My CBP friend of 30 yrs says things are getting worse than they are getting better. The higher government is now compromised.
