Unitree G1 robot's vulnerabilities—specifically the root exploit via BLE using a hardcoded AES key shared across all units, and the continuous unauthorized transmission of sensor data (including lidar, audio, and video) to overseas servers every 300 seconds!

The technical facts check out, and the surveillance risks are legitimately large, but I could not find substantiated proof of intentional espionage tied to the Chinese government.

I still Elon more than any other person or entity to do the right thing for the greater good of human consciousness. He has said this since he was a teen. He overestimated government and politicians as actually caring about the greater good and wanting to make America great again. Like he said, the US Gov is UNFIXABLE. My notes on Tik Tok, I wouldn't be surprised if it applies: "It's a data collection app disguised as a social media app. It should have been banned years ago. Not because of anything Chinese, but because of what it actually does. People have analyzed the data TikTok was passing to servers. Among other things it accesses your contacts even when explicitly not granted permission. At the time I first read about it, it could download and install code without requiring a software update. This allows for a zero day hack of your phone (and anyone's phone with that app). Google "state level zero day" for an idea of how bad that is and how desired it is for bad actors. Or Google zero day exploits. Governments will pay millions if not billions for zero day.
