Government Shutdown (Started Oct 1, 2025) over budget fights. Normally, the Treasury spends money from its main account (called the TGA) on programs and bills. But with the shutdown, money's coming in (from taxes and debt sales) without going out. This has built up the TGA to about $965 billion—up $150 billion just in October. That extra cash is basically being pulled out of the broader economy and markets, making less money available for investing or lending.

All this creates "headwinds" that make markets choppy and weak. Bitcoin and crypto are especially sensitive to liquidity changes, so they're getting hit hard.

Why Does Liquidity Matter? Imagine the economy like a party: Liquidity is the drinks flowing freely. Right now, the bar's empty, no drinks are flowing and everyone is bored or pissed off.

I listen/watch you, Raul, Jordy, and Michael Howell preach about the liquidity. I get the concept and the charts. However, I still would love some additional insight into how the concept of liquidity translates into price go up. What is the actual lever?
